ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr.  Verrick is from Chicago, IL. He and his wife Mecheco have been married for eighteen years, and are the parents of two children, Verricka and Joshua. Their daughter Verricka went home to be with the Lord in December of 2017, after a tragic accident.

Dr.  Verrick writes, “I can remember so vividly growing up in Chicago and attending church regularly with my mother, Peggy Northern, my older brother Excel, and my twin brother Errick.

As time went on, I found myself everywhere but in church, and it wasn’t until I was in my mid-twenties, when I was invited to a church in St. Louis, Missouri, that I began to feel a spiritual call on my heart. In August of 2000, my family and I left Illinois and moved to Los Angeles, and on February 4, 2001, I gave my life to Jesus Christ. I have devoted my life to living out my calling as a Christian ever since. I am confident that I have been confirmed and equipped for my calling through serving as pastor of Holy Temple Christian Center, leading and participating in various ministry opportunities, and through receiving my Masters of Divinity in 2006 and Doctorate in Ministry in 2012 from Azusa Pacific University.

God has revealed His call upon my life, as well as equipped me with the gifts that I need to fulfill this call. It is my strong desire and commitment to help others experience His unconditional love, cultivate their spiritual formation, confirm their calling, discover their spiritual gifts, and allow Him to equip them for the work of the ministry.
