Dr. Verrick is from the south side of Chicago, IL.  As I look back on my life I can truly see God ordering my steps unbeknownst to me in those days. After high school, I went to college at Southern IL, University at Edwardsville where I received a BS in Sociology and met Mecheco who is now my wife for now 22 years, and are the parents of two children, Verricka and Joshua. Our daughter, Verricka, went home to be with the Lord in December of 2017, after a tragic accident. When we moved to California I thought I was done with school but after we gave our lives to Christ in 2001 the Lord not long after in 2002 led me to Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Ca. It was there I entered the Master of Divinity and graduated in 2006 and received my Doctor of Ministry in 2012. My dissertation was converted into a book entitled “Perfecting the Body: The Role of the Fivefold Ministry Gifts in the Church Today.” My strong desire is to help others experience God’s unconditional love, cultivate their spiritual formation, confirm their calling, and discover their spiritual gifts.
